Galvin has held senior executive positions in the US and around the world. He served Motorola Inc. for over 36 years in various roles, and chaired the spin-out of NAVTEQ from Philips amongst many other accomplishments. He has also chaired and served as a member of numerous boards, co-founded Galvin Projects, a think tank in 2004 that released three books in 2008, and co-founded a global Harvard endowment-like investment business. He holds two degrees from Northwestern University Northwestern University, mainly at Evanston, Ill.; coeducational; chartered 1851, opened 1855 by Methodists. In 1873 it absorbed Evanston College for Ladies. ; a bachelor's degree from the College of Arts and Sciences, and a Master's in Management with distinction from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
