According to Forbes Magazine, it is the largest privately owned company in the world by revenue (surpassing Cargill in 2005 with the acquisition of Georgia-Pacific), with subsidiaries  finalized See finalization.  the sale of Invista, formerly DuPont Textiles & Interiors, for $4.2 billion, including the assumption of debt and certain joint venture and equity interests covered under a non-binding letter of intent. The company plans to conduct business as Invista.
