Dryers for small machines.

Two suppliers recently came out with smaller models of dryers aimed at low-throughput processing on small machines.

* Economical compressed-air membrane membrane, structure composed mostly of lipid and protein that forms the external boundary of cells and of major structures within cells. Membrane organization is based on a sheet two molecules thick—a double layer of lipids aligned with their long hydrocarbon  dryers are now available in sizes for injection molders of tiny medical components. Novatec, Inc., Baltimore Baltimore, city (1990 pop. 736,014), N central Md., surrounded by but politically independent of Baltimore co., on the Patapsco River estuary, an arm of Chesapeake Bay; inc. 1745. , introduced custom mini models of its NovaDrier in new sizes of 0.5 to 5 lb/hr. The smallest standard model handles up to 7 lb/hr, but Novatec received requests from medical molders for even smaller units. Tel: (410) 789-4811 * www.novatec.com

, Inc., Torrington, Conn. Its new Drymax ES40 with dry air flow of 23.5 cfm can be supplied on a compact cart (as shown), with the drying hopper A tray, or chute, that accepts input to a mechanical device, such as a disk duplicator or printer. In the days of punch cards, millions of cards were numerically or alphabetically organized by placing them into the hopper of a card sorter, taking them out of all the stackers and putting  on the processing machine and the desiccant unit on the floor beside it, or with both components machine-mounted. Options include high-temp. (356 F) capability and a return-air cooler. Tel: (860) 496-9603 * www.wittmann-ct.com
