: DRI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Calvin R. Stiller, C.M., M.D., F.R.C.P.(C) to its Board of Directors.

Dr. Stiller is Chair and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of the Canadian Medical Discoveries Fund, which recently made a $7.5 million investment in Drug Royalty. "Dr. Stiller has a most distinguished medical and professional background, and we are exceptionally fortunate to have him on our Board", stated Edward Rygiel, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Drug Royalty.

Dr. Stiller is one of Canada's preeminent medical figures. He is currently Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Western Ontario Western is one of Canada's leading universities, ranked #1 in the Globe and Mail University Report Card 2005 for overall quality of education.[2] It ranked #3 among medical-doctoral level universities according to Maclean's Magazine 2005 University Rankings.  and is Co-Director of the Immunology Group at the John P. Robarts Research Institute The Robarts Research Institute is a non-profit medical research facility in London, Ontario, Canada with a staff of more than 600 people. He was Principal Investigator of the Canadian multi-centre study that demonstrated the benefit of Cyclosporine in transplantation which led to world-wide use of this therapy for transplant rejection. He led the Canadian-European team which first demonstrated in humans that juvenile diabetes was an immunological disorder which could be arrested by an immunosuppressive agent. Dr. Stiller served on the Council and executive of the Medical Research Council of Canada, and has held numerous other professional and government

Dr. Stiller also brings to Drug Royalty, outstanding business experience. He was Chairman and founder of Diversicare Corporation, founder and currently Chairman of Chelsey Corporation, Oracle Service Network Corporation and Medical Discovery Management Corporation. He serves on the Board of London & Midland Insurance Company (a Textron subsidiary), the Advisory Board of Biotransplant Inc. (Boston), the Board of Biocoll and is a consultant to several multi-national corporations.

Dr. Stiller has published over 265 scientific and medical papers, co-edited five books, authored the book, Lifegifts and is on five editorial boards.
