Drivers clean up; NORTH TODAY: VOLUNTEERING.


HARD-WORKING volunteer drivers from three Newcastle charities got to put their feet up for the morning when they were invited to a special one-off charity wash and had their vehicles professionally cleaned for free.

The volunteers, from the British Red Cross, Leonard Cheshire Group Captain Geoffrey Leonard Cheshire, Baron Cheshire, VC, OM, DSO and Two Bars, DFC (7 September 1917 – 31 July 1992) was a British RAF pilot during the Second World War who received the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of  Disability and Cancer Research UK, normally have to give up their own time to clean their vehicles - two ambulances, a minibus min·i·bus
