Driver is injured in collision.


A 21-YEAR-OLD man was seriously injured in a two-car crash on a Warwickshire road.

The incident involved a black Ford Fiesta saloon and a black Peugeot 207 saloon on the B4091 at the junction with Church Lane, Middleton, on Wednesday at about 8.30pm.

Two people had to be cut free from the cars by the fire service following the collision.

The driver of the Fiesta - a 21-year-old man from Sutton Coldfield - was taken to the Heartlands Hospital for treatment.

His passenger, an 18-year-old woman, was uninjured.

A 20-year-old woman driving the Peugeot was taken to the Good Hope Hospital for medical assessment. She was uninjured.

The B4091 was closed at the junction of Church Lane and Crowberry Lane while officers dealt with the collision. It was reopened shortly after 10.30pm.
