Hazel Scott Hazel Dorothy Scott (June 11, 1920 – October 2, 1981) was a jazz and classical pianist and singer. She was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago on June 11, 1920 and raised in New York City from the age of four. , 42, appeared yesterday before the same sheriff who banned her three days previously. Sheriff Douglas Cusine asked her: "Did you appear here on Wednesday? I thought I recognised her face." Tests showed she was more than double the limit. Scott, of Tullynessle, Aberdeenshire, was kept in custody after her arrest on Wednesday until her appearance in court yesterday. She admitted drink driving and driving while disqualified. She was bailed and will now be sentenced for those offences, along with the drink-driving charge she admitted on Wednesday, on January 30.
