Drink-drive arrest in M42 crash.

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving following a two-car collision on the M42 today.

The accident happened just after 1am between junction four and five southbound of the motorway.

Fire crews arriving at the scene found a Ford Fiesta The Ford Fiesta is a mid-class supermini car designed and built by the Ford Motor Company in Europe, and also manufactured in Brazil, Mexico, Venezuela, China, India and South Africa.  and Vauxhall van had collided, then veered into the hard shoulder and smashed into the barriers.

The car's driver, a woman believed to be in her 20s, escaped with minor injuries.

Solihull station officer Colin Deery said: "As we were first on the scene, immediate action needed to be taken and it was decided we should cross the carriageway to get over the motorway.

"The two vehicles involved were write-offs."

Police said a man, 33, remained in police custody this morning.

Three people were hurt nin a two-car crash in Worcestershire.
