ALGERIA The drilling at the Semhari East-1 Well has resumed and is currently at a depth of 3,527 metres. ARCO, the operators of the Semhari East-1 Well, have successfully completed a remedial cement operation to seal off a high-pressure zone in the overlying overlying suffocation of piglets by the sow. The Triassic Sherwood Sandstone was encountered at 627 metres depth, and is described as a fine to medium grained sandstone, with good reservoir characteristics (visual porosity and permeability). Cairncastle was one of several targets in the Sherwood, which is a major regional play and a prolific reservoir of oil and gas in the East Irish Sea Basin. With the good reservoir characteristics of the Sherwood section intersected at Cairncastle, the Company remains optimistic that targets in the Sherwood beneath the Larne Licence could yield a significant hydrocarbon discovery. Using the technical information gained from the Cairncastle #2 Well further geological modeling will be conducted to re-evaluate the potential of other Sherwood targets on the Larne Licence.
