 to do some caving, which turns into a disaster when the two are separated and Phoebe is left alone in the dark. It is in this experience that Phoebe faces her worst fears, is comforted and rescued by the presence of her dead uncle, and emerges from the cave in a kind of metaphorical rebirth to face life with much more confidence.
