Holly Kristen, the youngest dress designer ever to participate in New York Fashion Week New York Fashion Week is a semiannual fashion week held in New York City. History
The first New York Fashion Week, then called Press Week, was the world's first organized fashion week.
 when her Spring 2004 line was previewed last February, has committed to new office space atop 140 W. 57th Street.

The 22-year old designer signed a 10 year lease on the 13th and 14th floor duplex penthouse in the 90,000-square foot Macklowe-owned property.

CB Richard Ellis' Peter Simel and Benjamin Friedland represented Ms. Kristen, while Jeffrey Siegel at Macklowe acted on behalf of ownership.

"This young designer has achieved extraordinary visibility in a very short time," said Mr. Simel. "140 W. 57th Street, with 20-foot high ceilings, several fireplaces, crown moldings and other elements of old-world charm is ideally suited for her purposes."

"From the beginning, Holly challenged us to find a showroom space as dramatic and unique as her designs," continued Mr. Friedland.

"The moment we walked: into the 140 West 57th West 57th can refer to:
  • West 57th Street, a street in New York City
  • West 57th (news magazine), a news magazine program which aired on the CBS Television Network from 1985 to 1989

, Holly has sketched dress designs since childhood. She attended Clemson University Clemson University, at Clemson, S.C.; coeducational; land-grant; state supported; opened in 1893 as a college, gained university status in 1964. The university includes programs in textile and computer research, wildlife biology, and aquaculture and maintains  as a pre-medicine and communications major, but transisted to fashion when her father's business was in trouble and she stepped up to the plate to help support her family. She fast-tracked college and by the age of 20 opened her own design house.

HKCCF receives five percent of Holly Kristen's annual profits. Moreover, Holly Kristen's staff this summer will donate two hours each Friday afternoon to read to children with cancer.

Ms. Kristen is expected to move into the new premises by June 1.
