An episodic episodic

sporadic; occurring in episodes. e. falling a paroxymal disorder described in Cavalier King Charles spaniels in which affected dogs, starting at an early age, experience episodes of extensor rigidity, possibly brought on by stress. e.
 biography composed with a poetic ear-full of the images that dominated the artist's life. Of humble religious origins in Czarist Russia, the artist was pushed by some genetic impulses into an alien art culture where he painted "not the way things really looked--it was how they made him feel." And Lisker's acrylic paintings also convey the emotional content of Chagall's works in a style that suggests, rather than emulates his uses of color not of the white race; - commonly meaning, esp. in the United States, of negro blood, pure or mixed.
