SCHIRN KUNSTHALLE

With Russian literature Russian literature, literary works mainly produced in the historic area of Russia, written in its earliest days in Church Slavonic and after the 17th cent. in the Russian language.  the focus of this year's Frankfurt hook fair, this extensive concurrent exhibition offers a survey of Soviet art during the Stalinist era. Organized by Boris Groys in collaboration with Moscow-based curator CURATOR, persons, contracts. One who has been legally appointed to take care of the interests of one who, on account of his youth, or defect of his understanding, or for some other cause, is unable to attend to them himself.

 Zelfira Tregulova (Kreml Museums), the show will present posters, architectural projects, and flints as well as sculptures by such key figures as Malevich, Vertov, El Lissitzky   (Лазарь Маркович Лисицкий , and Gustav Kluzis. The goal here is to grasp the Stalinist propaganda machine and its powerful reorganization of public space as an important chapter in the development of twentieth century mass and popular culture. (The accompanying catalogue features an exhaustive list of scholarly contributors.) The exhibition will also include works by contemporary Russian artists such as Komar & Melamid and Ilya Kabakov Ilya Kabakov, Russian Илья Иосифович Кабаков (September 30 1933) is an American conceptual artist of Russian-Jewish origin, born in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine. .
