Members of Warwick University Drama Society are among 16 companies chosen to appear at the National Student Drama Festival The National Student Drama Festival (or NSDF) was founded in 1956 by the Sunday Times arts columnist - the festival's first artistic director - Kenneth Pearson, the Sunday Times theatre critic Harold Hobson, and NUS president Frank Copplestone.  in Scarborough this week.

The festival showcases the best student drama from the past year and includes workshops, discussions and an award ceremony.

The university group, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary, is staging Insomnia. The piece features a five-strong cast and has been created by director Dominic Leclerc. It explores what happens when people sleep.

Dominic said: "This is a great opportunity for WUDS to show its work at a national level".
