DragonLaw for Windows has been optimized using legal-specific expert knowledge as well as language statistics. It is based on over four years of extensive feedback from DragonDictate users in the legal profession, consultation with industry specialists, and analyses of many thousands of case reports and statutes (containing West Publishing's copyrighted editorial enhancements), legal opinions, journal articles, and other legal documents. Predefined speech commands, developed in collaboration with West Publishing and US MicroShare Inc. are provided to simplify access to the WESTLAW and LEXIS-NEXIS research services.
