The Fazakerley rower said: "I'm absolutely exhausted but it was a very enjoyable day and even more enjoyable to win.
"The weather wasn't great, but the support was fantastic and it was great to have this regatta in Liverpool.
"All the teams were staying over so we took the continental rowers out for a celebration in the city centre.
"This year we will be heading out to the Champion's League of dragon boat racing in St Petersburg."
