Draco becomes HACCP certified.Draco Natural Products, Inc., San Jose, CA, announces that its botanical extract ingredient manufacturing facility is now HACCP Certified. HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) is a systematic approach to identifying and controlling physical, chemical or microbiological hazards that could pose a danger to the safe preparation of food products. HACCP provides a vertically integrated food safety control system from raw material point of entry through to storage and distribution of the final product. To achieve HACCP certification, Draco had to demonstrate Good Hygiene Practices with strict Standard Operating Procedures in place. Prior to HACCP, the company was already ISO9001:2000, Kosher, and NOP/IFOAM Organic certified, so safety compliance had already been close to HAACP levels. This certification adds another layer of quality for greater assurance of the safety of Draco products, according to company executives. |
