(BCBSNC BCBSNC Bluecross Blueshield North Carolina ), the state's largest health insurer, has chosen DrFirst's award-winning Rcopia(R) electronic prescribing solution for a collaborative program that will target 1,000 physicians to promote the adoption and use of electronic prescribing technology. The focus of the program is on improving patient safety, reducing costs and improving the overall quality of care in the delivery of prescription drug prescription drug Prescription medication Pharmacology An FDA-approved drug which must, by federal law or regulation, be dispensed only pursuant to a prescription–eg, finished dose form and active ingredients subject to the provisos of the Federal Food, Drug,  benefits in the state of North Carolina. DrFirst will provide its Rcopia Insight reporting tool and consulting services to deliver deep analysis of the actual results of the program and its impact in key areas.
