Dr.H.Frauenknecht GmbH: Endo-Distraction: The Key to Aesthetic Dentistry and to Critical Dental-Implantations.

Success Story of 65 Clinically Tested Endo-Distractions Performed with the KRENKEL([R]) Endo-Distractor

SALZBURG, Austria -- Atrophy (decrease from previous normal size) of the alveolar ridge Noun 1. alveolar ridge - a ridge that forms the borders of the upper and lower jaws and contains the sockets of the teeth
alveolar process, gum ridge

is one of today's medical problems. With the increasing age of the modern population the demand for fixed dental appliances is steadily increasing. Sports activities and traffic accidents also often result in the permanent loss of frontal teeth and the partial loss of dental bridges. The amelioration a·me·lio·ra·tion
n.
1. The act or an instance of ameliorating.

2. The state of being ameliorated; improvement.

of severe aesthetic problems demands the full rehabilitation of bones and soft tissue as a precondition for dental implantations. In addition, successful anti-ageing facial procedures are not possible without the rehabilitation of bone supported gums and aesthetic teeth implants.

Bone transplantation is still a common technique for the foregoing, and carries with it the disadvantage of the need to harvest bone from a secondary surgical site. The same disadvantage, that of a second surgical intervention, is also necessary when plate distraction is applied. In addition, the often recommended application of morphological bone proteins is unable to influence callus callus: see corns and calluses.

New method and new instruments

Prof.Dr.med. Christian Krenkel, of the Paracelsus Medical University, Salzburg, Austria has invented and developed a new Endo-Distraction method for vertical callus distraction osteogenesis osteogenesis /os·teo·gen·e·sis/ (os?te-o-jen´e-sis) the formation of bone; the development of the bones.osteogenet´ic

osteogenesis imperfec´ta
(formation of new bone). See Figure 1. The device to carry out the method allows callus formation to be developed in the desired height and direction.

The simple principle of the new method and device (the KRENKEL([R])Endo-Distractor) is based on the natural healing natural healing Alternative healing Alternative health Any healing technique that may be rooted in supernaturalist methods. See Absent healing, Acupuncture, Acupressure, Alexander technique, Applied kinesiology, Ayurvedic medicine, Bioenergetics, Cayce therapies,  process of fractured or split bones to grow together by osteogenesis. The KRENKEL([R]) Endo-Distractor allows the patient himself to control callus formation on a daily basis. The surgeon simply instructs the patient, in front of a mirror, how much and how long he has to turn the distraction screw with a special key. This method allows a callus formation of up to 16 mm; see Figure 2.

The average time to reach the needed height of distraction is approximately three weeks. The necessary retention time for calcification calcification /cal·ci·fi·ca·tion/ (kal?si-fi-ka´shun) the deposit of calcium salts in a tissue.

Unlimited Endo-Distraction?

The KRENKEL([R]) Endo-Distractor, - in several sizes and with additional available devices - can be applied in nearly any facial region. Compare Figure 4.

picture, Figure 5, illustrates the universality of the method. The patient suffered an early childhood accident, whereby his chin never developed. With the KRENKEL([R])Endo-Distractor the first time a chin was formed by distraction-osteogenesis at the age of 17.

Needless to say, the new KRENKEL([R]) Endo-Distractor, allows a callus to form in a gap between teeth.

European Market Opening / Press Conference

Following a press conference in Salzburg, Austria (in the Festspielhaus on 9 November 2007), marketing of the first generation of the KRENKEL([R]) Endo-Distractor, in Europe will start.

A thorough study of the medical, psychological and social aspects of patients treated by Prof. Dr. Christian Krenkel's method will be presented by Prof. Dr. Eelco Hakman, of Amsterdam.

A general discussion of up to date medical results, future development of the method and of a presently available distraction-set will be also presented.
