Dr. Edward G. Taylor joins ABIOMED to lead artificial heart program.

 - ABMD) today announced that Dr. Edward G. Taylor has joined ABIOMED as a Divisional Vice President and has been appointed Director of the Company's Total Artificial Heart Program, effective on December 1, 1996.

Dr. Taylor, age 45, comes to ABIOMED from the U.S. Air Force where he attained the rank of Colonel and was most recently the Program Director for the nation's Airborne Warning And Control System The Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) is an aircraft system designed to carry out surveillance, and C2BM (command and control, battle management) functions.  (AWACS AWACS (Airborne Warning and Control System)

It has long been recognized as an outstanding technological institute and its Sloan School of Management has notable programs in business, . He and his wife, Susan Fennelly, are the parents of 2 boys.
