Dr. Charles Swindoll to Speak at 99.5 KKLA-FM 20th Anniversary Listener Event, October 14, at Azusa Pacific University.


LOS ANGELES Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  -- Chuck Swindoll Charles Rozell "Chuck" Swindoll (born October 18, 1934) is an evangelical Christian pastor, author, educator, and radio preacher. He founded Insight for Living, currently headquartered in Plano, Texas, which airs a radio program of the same name on more than 2,000 stations around , host of "Insight For Living," heard weekdays at 7:00 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. on 99.5 KKLA-FM, will be the special guest speaker at a gala 99.5 KKLA-FM Listener Event celebrating the station's 20th anniversary of broadcasting. Swindoll will speak on Friday, October 14, at Azusa Pacific University's Felix Event Center on "Grace in Our Relationships -- Restoring Relationships." The evening begins at 7:00 p.m. with special music by recording artist Steve Amerson. Admission is free but reservations are required.

Swindoll has devoted his life to the clear, practical application of God's word. He served as senior pastor at First Evangelical Free Church in Fullerton from 1971 to 1994, and he currently pastors Stonebriar Community Church Stonebriar Community Church is a nondenominational evangelical Christian church in Frisco, Texas, a fast-growing suburb north of Dallas, Texas. The church was founded in 1998 by a group of individuals including Senior Pastor Chuck Swindoll, whose sermons are broadcast worldwide on  in Frisco, Texas Frisco is a city in Collin County and Denton County, Texas (USA).

It is a northern suburb of Dallas. As of the 2000 census, the city population was 33,714, while according to 2007 estimate, the city's population is approximately 95,000.
