Download Over-the-Air Success from DTC Fleet Management Using Wavecom Open AT.

ISSY-LES-MOULINEAUX, France -- Wavecom SA (Nasdaq:WVCM)(Euronext Eurolist:AVM)(ISIN: FR0000073066), a leader in pre-packaged wireless communications solutions for automotive, industrial (machine-to-machine) and mobile professional applications, today announced the success of DOTA (download over-the-air) functionality used for fleet management by DTC, Thailand.

In order to meet the demanding tracking and monitoring needs of DTC's vehicle fleets, numbering more than 3000 and including cement trucks, oil trucks and rental cars, they have developed a sophisticated tracking device and system which relies extensively on Wavecom's wireless communication solutions.

DTC's product, the SW-RT GPS, is a powerful tracking device that combines GPS and wireless communication which monitors all critical data for the entire vehicle fleet. It collects data like oil levels, motor temperature, driver status, driver performance and transportation routes and sends this data at regular time intervals (every 4 minutes) to a data collection server for analysis.

In just six months, DTC's team of 30 software engineers were able to develop, customize and validate the software specific for use in their vehicle tracking devices. The engineers began using Wavecom's DOTA (download over-the-air) functionality on Open AT(TM) version 2.1. Without ever calling a truck into the garage, they were able to detect software bugs remotely and gradually download new software releases until the entire fleet was upgraded.

The DTC offer which includes one tracking device per vehicle along with customized software, user training, configuration, maintenance and air time was only made possible because of the Open AT(TM) software development environment and Wavecom's DOTA capabilities.
