Robert Dowling Robert Dowling may refer to:

 is running more than The Hollywood Reporter nowadays.

The publisher and editor-in-chief of the entertainment trade has been elected chairman of the Digital Coast Roundtable, a nonprofit group that supports the growth of technology and new media companies.

Dowling, who once published a technology magazine, says he plans to focus on the convergence of media, entertainment and technology.

"The type who goes into entertainment is not necessarily the same person who goes into technology," he said. "You're converging two different worlds and they have to figure out how to communicate."
