 VentureWire announced the recipients of its Investors' Choice Awards at its third annual Wireless Ventures private-equity conference held in Redwood City, Calif., on April 20 and 21. The award recognizes start-up technology companies that are best positioned for long-term success in the wireless- and mobile-communications industry.

The recipients of the Investors' Choice Award, in alphabetical order, are:

-- Airvana, Chelmsford, Mass., which provides wireless-data
