& Company has purchased a license to use Kadiri TotalComp(TM), a compensation planning software package. Dow Jones chose Kadiri's web-based compensation planning solution because it believes Kadiri TotalComp will reduce planning cycle time and enable better decision-making by all managers in the enterprise.

Dow Jones will be using the Kadiri solution to plan merit, variable and stock compensation for as many as 6,000 employees throughout its organization. By using Kadiri TotalComp, Dow Jones expects to cut its planning cycle time so substantially that the company believes it will recoup its investment in the new system in less than two years.

"A recent study by the Aberdeen Group Aberdeen Group is a provider of business-related research services. It has its headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts and belongs to the Harte-Hanks group. Founded in 1988, Aberdeen's research is used by over 2.  indicates that larger companies can potentially increase shareholder value as much as 30 percent by effectively managing human capital," said Chuck Baker Charles Joseph Baker better known as Chuck Baker, born December 6, 1952, in Seattle, Washington was a former major league baseball player.

In his three year major league career, he played for the San Diego Padres and the Minnesota Twins.
, senior associate of compensation at Dow Jones. "But to do this, managers must juggle a number of compensation variables within an ever-changing business environment. For example, when budgets are tight, line managers need to see that there are alternative ways to reward top performers. Kadiri TotalComp will give our line managers that kind of vision, and allow us to optimize pay for performance regardless of budget and market constraints."

With Kadiri TotalComp, the company's line managers will have instant access to analytical planning tools, situation-specific advice and Kadiri's patented Kadiri Knowledge Manager(TM) System, which guides managers in making strategic, policy-based compensation decisions.

"Kadiri TotalComp will enable line managers to quickly make equitable compensation recommendations that can be approved by their supervisors in a matter of hours," explained Baker. "This will create a twofold benefit. First, compensation recommendations will be made by those who are most familiar with the day-to-day contributions of employees. Second, our executives will have more time -- eight weeks per planning cycle -- to affect the strategic direction of their departments and the company as a whole. That's the true power of Kadiri TotalComp: it enables companies to broaden their strategic focus across many levels of operation and save time in the process."
