Dow Jones Newswires (New York) has signed a letter of intent to co-brand and co-market a new suite of independent mutual-fund information and fund-manager benchmarking products and services for the financial services market with The Rankings Service (TRS; Needham Heights, MA), a research firm that tracks and ranks the performance of individual mutual-fund portfolio managers, rather than individual funds. The four products include TRS Advisor Pro, TRS Reports, TRS Director Pro and TRS Compliance Pro.

TRS Advisor Pro tracks portfolio managers and provides 'TRS Manager Scorecards' to financial advisors, brokers, financial planners, and other financial intermediaries and professionals. TRS Reports carries TRS' proprietary data and analytics for the institutional market, while TRS Director Pro is targeted to independent directors of mutual funds, plan sponsors, trustees and others charged with monitoring and measuring the performance of funds on behalf of shareholders and investors. TRS Compliance Pro is for compliance officers who seek third-party tracking of individual portfolio manager performance for monitoring, measurement, and forensic fiduciary and regulatory compliance purposes.

The new products can be purchased via an individual subscription or via a bundle with a Morningstar research product, or via the trsreports.com web site individually or through site licenses.
