Dow Jones Indexes Recalculates The Dow Jones Canada Titans 40 Index; New Values Available At The Start Of Trading On October 30th.Business Editors NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--October 29, 2001 Dow Jones Indexes today announced it is restating the closing values of the Dow Jones Canada Titans 40 index for the period of October 2nd through October 26, 2001. The change will be effective on Tuesday, October 30. The restatement of the index became necessary as result of altered pricing information from the Toronto Stock Exchange Toronto Stock Exchange (TSE) Canada's largest stock exchange, trading approximately 1,200 company stocks and 33 options. on October 2nd, the day that Canadian Pacific Ltd. split itself into five separate companies. In the restatement, Dow Jones Indexes is using prices consistent with those available to market participants. The closing price for Pancanadian Energy Corp., which replaced Canadian Pacific Ltd. in the Dow Jones Canada 40 Titans index, is changed to 37.80 Canadian dollars for the restatement from 35.80 Canadian dollars used originally. Similarly, the closing price for Canadian Pacific Ltd. is changed to 47.85 Canadian dollars instead of 50.17 Canadian dollars. This change will affect returns of both the index and investment products based upon it. Revised index data is available on the Dow Jones Indexes web site at www.djindexes.com.
