MIDLAND, Mich., May 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Stockholders at The Dow Chemical Company's 110th Annual Meeting today re-elected Arnold A. Allemang, Jacqueline K. Barton, James A. Bell, Jeff M. Fettig, Barbara Hackman Franklin, John B. Hess John B. Hess (born on April 5, 1954) is the Chairman and CEO of Hess Corporation.

He was born in 1954 to Leon Hess and he graduated Harvard College in 1975; and Harvard University with an MBA in 1977. He married Susan Elizabeth Kessler.
, Andrew N. Liveris Andrew Liveris is a Greek-Australian-American executive from Australia and is the Chairman, CEO and President of The Dow Chemical Company based in the United States. After the Annual Meeting, the Board elected company officers. The officers elected were: Andrew N. Liveris, president, chief executive officer and chairman of the Board; Geoffery E. Merszei, executive vice president and chief financial officer; Michael R. Gambrell, executive vice president, Basic Plastics and Chemicals, Manufacturing & Engineering; Heinz Haller, executive vice president, Performance Plastics and Chemicals; David E. Kepler, senior vice president, chief sustainability officer, chief information officer, Shared Services shared services,
n.pl the administrative, clinical, or other service functions that are common to two or more hospitals or their health care facilities and used jointly or cooperatively by them.
; Charles J. Kalil, senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary; William F. Banholzer, corporate vice president and chief technology officer; Julie Fasone Holder, corporate vice president, Marketing & Sales, Human Resources The fancy word for "people." Other officers elected by the board were Douglas J. Anderson, corporate auditor; William L. Curry, assistant secretary; W. Michael McGuire, assistant secretary; and Thomas E. Moran, assistant secretary.
  On other agenda items at the Annual Meeting, Dow stockholders:
  -- ratified the appointment of Deloitte and Touche LLP as the Company's
     independent auditor for 2007,
  -- passed an amendment to Dow's Restated Certificate of Incorporation, and
  -- rejected four proposals submitted by stockholders.




There were approximately 1,050 stockholders attending in person. The meeting was also available via audio webcast on the Internet.
