The sale of Wicks Business Information LLC's Briefings Publishing Group, rumored for months, has now been completed with its acquisition by Douglas Douglas, city, Isle of Man
Douglas, city (1991 pop. 19,950), capital of the Isle of Man, Great Britain. It is a popular resort, connected by rail to Ramsey and Port Erin, on the Irish Sea. Tourism is the chief industry.

A brief history of Briefings

The launch of Briefings Publishing Group's flagship newsletter, Communication Briefings, is one of the industry's more popular success stories. With the present acquisition, Briefings publisher William G. Dugan becomes Douglas Publications' group publisher, newsletters. He will continue to manage the company's operations in Alexandria, Virginia Alexandria is an independent city in the Commonwealth of Virginia. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 128,284. Located along the Western bank of the Potomac River, Alexandria is approximately 6 miles (9.6 kilometers) south of downtown Washington, DC. . Briefings acting president Denise Elliott is no longer with the company.
