Douglas Elliman expands to 60,000 s/f at 575 Mad. Ave.


Douglas Elliman is expanding its Manhattan flagship office at 575 Madison Avenue Madison Avenue, celebrated street of Manhattan, borough of New York City. It runs from Madison Square (23d St.) to the Madison Bridge over the Harlem River (138th St.). In the 1940s and 50s, some of the major U.S.  from approximately 35,000 square feet of non-contiguous space to over 60,000 square feet on 2 1/2 contiguous Adjacent or touching. "We're adding space to keep up with demand," said Douglas Elliman CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  Dottie Herman, who together with partner Howard Lorber acquired the 800-broker firm in March.

 Ms. Herman, Douglas Elliman is now 1,000 brokers strong and still expanding.

The additional space at 575 Madison will allow the sales force to increase by as much as 50% and will be designed for maximum employee benefit and efficiency.

That has certainly been a hallmark of the company since Ms. Herman assumed her leadership position.

Top producing brokers who recently joined the firm include former Corcoran Group vice presidents Jacky Teplitzky and Marlene Steiner and ex-Sumitomo Real Estate Sales Managing Director Sachiko Goodman.

, Senior Director at Cushman & Wakefield, represented Douglas Elliman in the long-term leasing transaction.

The 27-story office tower at 575 Madison Avenue occupies the entire easterly blockfront between 56th and 57th Streets.
