Douglas Elliman announces bi-coastal affiliation

Douglas Elliman, a top name in the management and brokerage of luxury homes and apartments in New York City, and the Jon Douglas Company, a leader in luxury home sales in California, announced that they have entered into a marketing affiliation.

Under the agreement, Douglas Elliman and the Jon Douglas Company will serve as opposite-coast affiliates for one another, referring clients and listing properties in each other's publications.

"There is a great need, and a very special opportunity, for brokerage services which can serve a clientele that is active on both the East Coast and the West Coast," said Alan J. Rogers, managing director of Douglas Elliman. "There is an important group of people in need of the highest quality service who move from one coast to the other or who seek residences in both places. Through this agreement, together the Jon Douglas Company and Douglas Elliman can serve those needs, each bringing its distinctive expertise in its home markets."

Founded in 1911, Douglas Elliman-Gibbons & Ives has been managing buildings and brokering retail space, offices and luxury apartments and houses in the New York area for over 80 years.

Jon Douglas Company is the most successful estates broker in the United States, with sales of nearly $6 billion in 1990. Its 2,100 agents and support staff, housed in 31 offices.
