Doubletree Hotel Austin Introduces Sales and Catering Team Members.


AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 19, 1998--The Doubletree Hotel Austin is pleased to announce its newest Sales and Catering staff members.

Amanda Pomroy, Express Sales Manager -- Pomroy graduated from the University of Texas at Austin “University of Texas” redirects here. For other system schools, see University of Texas System.
The University of Texas at Austin (often referred to as The University of Texas, UT Austin, UT, or Texas
 in 1996 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with her major in Public Relations.

In her new position, Pomroy will be responsible for handling short-term events with total room nights of 50 or less.

Brittany Arnot, Business Travel Manager -- Arnot has a seven-year background in hotel sales and operations. She comes to the Doubletree Hotel Austin from the Omni Hotel Austin where she was Corporate Sales Manager. Previously she was Corporate Sales Manager and Reservations Supervisor at Northpark Executive Suites Hotel.

In her new position, Arnot will be responsible for bringing corporate meetings and conventions to the hotel.

Arnot is an active member of the Austin Business Travel Association.

Coral Page, Sales Manager -- Page has a nine-year background in hotel sales. Previously, she was Conference Services Manager at the Doubletree Hotel.

In her new position, Page will be responsible for the state and national association markets.

Page is active in many civic and professional organizations, including Meeting Planners International and the Texas Society of Association Executives.

Blake Miller, Sales Manager -- Miller has a 14-year background in the hotel industry. He comes to the Doubletree Hotel Austin from the Omni-Austin Hotel where he was SMERF SMERF Social, Military, Educational, Religious, Fraternal (market segment)
SMERF Sports, Military, Educational, Religious, Fraternal (market segment) 
 (Social, Sports, Military, Education, Religious, Fraternal) Sales Manager.

In his new position, Miller will be responsible for bringing meetings and conventions to the hotel that relate to the SMERF markets.

Miller is active in the following organizations: the Austin Hospitality Association, the Religious Conference Management Association, and the Greater Austin Sports Foundation.

Kelly O'Connor, Business Travel Manager -- O'Connor has a 10-year background in the sales and marketing field. She comes to the Doubletree Hotel Austin from the Sumner Suites San Antonio where she was Director of Sales/Assistant General Manager. He comes to the Doubletree Hotel Austin from the Austin North Hilton, where he was a sales manager. Previously, he was Sales Manager for the Driskill Hotel and various Holiday Inn locations.

In his new position, Swindler will be responsible for selling the government market and managing the sales team.

Theresa Burr, Director of Catering and Conference Services -- Burr has a 14-year background in the hotel/catering field. She comes to the Doubletree Hotel Austin from the Omni-Austin Hotel, where she was Director of Catering. Previously, she held positions in Catering and Sales with the Hyatt Hotel in Austin and the Westin South Coast Plaza South Coast Plaza is an upscale shopping mall in Costa Mesa, California, USA, in Orange County, and one of the most notable shopping centers in the United States. In 2004, Women's Wear Daily  in Orange County, Calif.

In her new position, Burr will be responsible for the overall operating of the Catering and Conference Service Department.
