Double death probe.


DETECTIVES have launched a murder investigation after discovering two bodies within an hour in Barnsley.

Police found a woman's body at a house on Aldham Crescent crescent, emblematic representation of the quarter moon. The crescent and star, ancient Byzantine symbols that became the emblems of Constantinople, were also assumed as the standard of the Ottoman Turks. , Wombwell at about 6.15am.

An hour later, officers discovered a man's body at Wombwell woods.

The force covers an area of approximately 1,554 square kilometres which is made up of the county's three boroughs (Barnsley, Doncaster and Rotherham), along with the

A man from the local area arrested on suspicion of the woman's murder was released last night without charge.

A police spokesman said: "Police have sealed off both sites and forensic investigations are under way."
