Double celebration for firm's milestone.BIRMINGHAM'S Jewellery Quarter The Jewellery Quarter is situated in the south of the Hockley area of Birmingham, England. It is about one mile north-west of Birmingham city centre, centered around grid reference SP060876, and is an Anchor Point of ERIH, the European Route of Industrial Heritage. Museum was the venue for a double celebration for long-established tools supplier Sutton Sutton, outer borough (1991 pop. 164,300) of Greater London, SE England. It is mainly residential, but plastics, chemicals, radio components, and paper goods are produced. The areas of Sutton were mentioned in the Domesday Book. Tools. Guests toasted the city company's 125th year of trading, and the recent marriage of managing director Maggie Nichols to the British Jewellers' Association's chief executive Geoff Field. The party was attended by more than 60 friends including many customers, trade suppliers and industry figures. Guests were treated to a Victorian themed playlet play·let n. A short play. Noun 1. playlet - a short play drama, dramatic play, play - a dramatic work intended for performance by actors on a stage; "he wrote several plays but only one was produced on Broadway" based around Suttons' historical development, a special tour of the museum, live jazz and a celebratory cake. Geoff said: "When a company trades successfully for 125 years, it is obviously worthy of celebration, particularly when it remains in the ownership of the founding family. "The party was an opportunity for Maggie and her team at Sutton Tools to say thank you to everyone who has contributed in some way to the firm's success. "Maggie and I received many wonderful messages of congratulation on our marriage in May and we decided to hold a double celebration."
