He said: "People may think it's strange I signed for Alan at four separate clubs but it's certainly not an old pals' act as the motivation for me is to win things. "I first worked under him at Sauchie then he took me to Camelon and to Berwick Rangers Rapidly deployable airborne light infantry organized and trained to conduct highly complex joint direct action operations in coordination with or in support of other special operations units of all Services.  before arriving this summer at Bo'ness.

"It was a disappointment at Berwick as Alan left and I found the travelling too much as my work had to take priority.

"When Alan asked me to join up, I was one of 17 new players which is always a difficult adjustment for any club.

"Knowing the manager as I do,I have no hesitation in signing as I know the quality he has and there's a wave of optimism running through the club. He's a passionate individual who craves success and I've no doubt he'll achieve it and I want to play my part."

The midfielder is adamant the fact they've managed to hit the ground running bodes well for the campaign ahead.

He said: "We've made more than a decent start which may be a surprise to many as we've had so many players arriving at the one time.

"It was always going to take time to gel. We've managed to do that quickly and everyone gets on really well which is a vital factor for any team.

Terrific "We have a base here for a team that will be able to challenge in all the competitions as long as we stick together.

"I'm at a terrific club which is forward thinking and hopefully I will remain for a few years to come.

"The manager has faith in my ability and that's important for any player to know.

"He's shown his loyalty by signing me at four clubs and I will try to repay him on the park."
