Dorrans prays for cup glory.

So when Albion midfielder Graham Dorrans Graham Dorrans (born May 5, 1987 in Glasgow) is a Scottish professional footballer currently playing for Livingston in the Scottish First Division. He spent the first half of the 2005-06 season on loan at Partick Thistle.  settles down to watch Scotland take on Macedonia today and then the Netherlands on Wednesday, he'll be hoping George Burley's men can do enough to reach the play-offs.

Scotland are third, on equal points with Macedonia and one point ahead of Norway.

With the head-to-head rule applying when points are equal, Scotland could do with rattling in a few against Macedonia today and hoping Norway lose to Iceland.

On that basis, a draw between Norway and Macedonia on Wednesday would be enough to ensure Scotland's qualification for the play-offs.

Dorrans knows a World Cup place could be within his grasp if he continues his progress.

He has already fallen on to George Burley's radar after being picked for a B international in May - which he was forced to withdraw from due to injury - and believes it could open up future opportunities.

Dorrans has been in outstanding form this season, scoring twice and looking at ease in the Championship, following several games in the top flight last season when his quality first began to shine through.

"When I got the B call-up Tony Mowbray pulled me to one side and said he had been speaking to George Burley bur·ley

," said Dorrans.

"I'm sure he and Mark Venus had a few words last season and maybe that's why I got called up.

"I will watch these two games. I am going back home at the weekend so hopefully I can watch with some family and friends. There are some tough games coming up to qualify for the World Cup but all I'm looking to do is play regularly here.

"I'm sure if I can do well here and play week in, week out, then there might be every chance of getting a call-up.

"But first and foremost my thoughts are on playing well here.

"International recognition is an honour and it's what everybody dreams of and if that comes around, then that would be great."

Dorrans has already been capped at U21 level and he revealed the honour that came with pulling on his nation's shirt. "It's a really great feeling," he said.

'I've played at every level from U17s and we got to the European Championships finals and went to the World Cup, and I played for the U21s.

"It's great when you get international call-ups so hopefully I can push on to the next step.

"I was injured for the B call-up last season but I am pushing myself on to hopefully take the next step as soon as possible.

"Playing internationals is a great honour but I just want to get a place in the Albion team first and foremost and push on from there."
