West Hartford is a town located in Hartford County, Connecticut, United States. The town was incorporated in 1854.
 passed away on January 10th, 2009 at the home of her daughter Mary "Lisa" Mamishian, son-in-law Michael V. Mamishian and adored granddaughter Allison H. Mamishian. Dorothy also leaves behind her son Charles L. Howe of Schenectady, New York Schenectady (IPA /skəˈnɛktədi/) is a city in Schenectady County, New York, United States, of which it is the county seat. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 61,821.  and grandsons Adam and Conrad Howe of Niskayuna, New York Niskayuna is a town in Schenectady County, New York, USA. The population was 20,295 at the 2000 census.

The Town of Niskayuna is located in the southeast part of the county, north and east of the City of Schenectady.
. Dorothy's husband, Dr. George O. Howe preceded her in death in 1993.

The only child of Blanche and Edwin Lloyd, Dorothy was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, attending Denver University. She met and married George while he was a medical student, settling in West Hartford, Connecticut.

Dorothy was a devoted wife and mother, eventually working and retiring as a loan officer from Fleet Bank in 1987. She centered her life around family, becoming a PTA PTA or parent-teacher association: see parent education.  school member, Den Mother, Girl Scout Leader, and Little League scorekeeper, assisting her husband who served as Town Coach for many years. Dorothy's passion for local level politics grew alongside her family, culminating in elected positions as Selectwoman se·lect·wom·an  
n.
A woman who is one of a board of town officers chosen annually in New England communities to manage local affairs.

When we think of Dorothy Howe, we will remember a strong-willed, intelligent woman armed with dry wit that always put family first.

Services will be private in Mulhane Home for Funerals in Millbury. There are no calling hours. Entombment will be private in Cedar Hill Cemetery Cedar Hill Cemetery is a Jewish Cemetery located in Miami County Piqua, Ohio. The current Trustees and several old newspaper articles state that the cemetery and congregation were organized March 7, 1858 and incorporated January 30, 1875.  in Hartford, CT.
