Dorothy Hershkowitz (1945-2007).

Beloved teacher, choreographer, and dancer Dorothy Hershkowitz died of ovarian cancer in Boston in April at 62. She appeared in New York and on tour with the Merry-go-Rounders and danced with Deborah Jowitt. Hershkowitz moved to Boston in the 1970s and became an important participant in the local dance boom. From the early 1970s, she performed and created works for Dance Collective and Harvard Summer Dance Center.
