Doris Witkowski.


MAYNARD - Doris (Roughsedge) Leach Witkowski, 87, a Maynard resident since 1954, died Friday, July 24, in Fitchburg, at the home of her daughter, Susan. She was the wife of the late Walter J. Witkowski, a Clinton native, who died in 2000.

Born and raised in Waltham, Mrs. Witkowski was the daughter of the late Percival and Mary (Vickerson) Roughsedge. All her life she focused on her children and family, and was close to her many friends and former in-laws, the Leach family. She was a waitress at Russo's Restaurant and Alphonse's Powder Mill Restaurant, both formerly in Maynard, and was also employed at GenRad and Stratus stratus: see cloud.

, and enjoyed tracking statistics for the Red Sox. A faithful parishioner of St. Bridget's Church, she loved to bowl and was known among family and friends as ""The Queen of Puzzles."

Mrs. Witkowski is survived by her children, Susan Day and husband, Bud, of Fitchburg, Robert Leach of Clinton, Richard Leach and wife, Denise, of Maynard, and Michael Leach and wife, Tracy, of Fort Worth, Texas Fort Worth is the fifth-largest city in the state of Texas, 18th-largest city in the United States[1], and voted one of "America’s Most Livable Communities. ; 11 grandchildren GRANDCHILDREN, domestic relations. The funeral was held on July 29, through Acton Funeral Home, 470 Mass Ave (Route 111), Acton.
