BUCKS COUNTY, PA Doris R. (Ryan) Pitcher, 93, of Bucks County, Pennsylvania Bucks County is a county located in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. As of 2000, the population was 597,635. A 2004 U.S. Census estimate placed the population at 621,342, making it the fourth most populous county in Pennsylvania, after Philadelphia, Allegheny, and Montgomery , died peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 3, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley A. Pitcher and her grandson Jared H. Pitcher. She leaves her brother, Clifton M. Ryan and his wife Dorothy C. Ryan of Rochester, NY; her son, Stephen M. Pitcher and his wife, Cynthia N. Pitcher of Worcester; her daughter, Susan P. Stuart and her husband Bruce H. Stuart of Albany NY; her son, David L. Pitcher and Cathie M. Sweeney of Bucks County, Pennsylvania; one granddaughter, Virginia; six grandsons, David, Jeffrey, Ryan, Justin, Jonathan and Zachary; and five great grandchildren GRANDCHILDREN, domestic relations. The children of one's children. Sometimes these may claim bequests given in a will to children, though in general they can make no such claim. 6 Co. 16. .

Doris was born in Worcester, the daughter of Walter and Isabelle (Drury) Ryan. She was a graduate of South High School and Middlebury College Middlebury College, at Middlebury, Vt.; coeducational; chartered and opened 1800. It is a small liberal arts college noted for its summer language schools, which pioneered in the development of specialized language study. . Doris was a Home Economics teacher in the Worcester Public Schools for 26 years.

Doris will be remembered for her passion for food, fashion, entertaining, travel, community involvement and especially her family.
