Doris E. (Guertin) Bruno, 84.

UXBRIDGE Doris E. (Guertin) Bruno, 84, formerly of Oak St. died Sun. July 29 after an illness. Her husband of 60 years Robert E. Bruno died Feb. 23, 1998. She is survived by a son, Dan H. Bruno of Van Buren ME; a daughter, Beverly A. Blanchard of Uxbridge; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul Guertin of Uxbridge; and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a daughter Kathleen E. Bruno who died in 1991 and was sister of the late Blanche Guertin. Born in Northbridge on June 26, 1923 she was the daughter of Edmund A. and Amelia (Tanguay) Guertin and lived in Uxbridge most of her life. She had been a resident of Sunbridge of Milford the past 9 years.

Mrs. Bruno worked for the Uxbridge Public School System in the High School cafeteria many years. She was a graduate of Northbridge High School, enjoyed the Boston Red Sox, knitting and puzzles.

Her funeral will be held Wed. Aug. 1 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Marys Church, 71 Mendon St. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery. Calling hours at Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd. are Wed. Aug. 1 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Donations may be made to Sunbridge Activities Fund, 10 Veterans Memorial Dr., Milford, MA 01757.
