NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 10, 1996--Donnkenny, Inc. (Nasdaq: DNKY) today announced financial results for the second quarter ended June June: see month.  1, 1996.

Net sales Net Sales

The amount a seller receives from the buyer after costs associated with the sale are deducted.

Notes:
This amount is calculated by subtracting the following items from gross sales: merchandise returned for credit, allowances for damaged or missing goods, freight
 for the second quarter of fiscal 1996 increased 37.2% to $55.0 million from $40.1 million for the comparable period in 1995. Net income for the second quarter of fiscal 1996 increased 31.8% to $2.9 million, or $0.20 per share, compared to $2.2 million, or $0.16 per share in the second quarter of 1995.

Net sales for the first six months of fiscal 1996 increased 35.2% to $107.2 million from $79.3 million for the same period in 1995. Net income for the first six months increased 27.9% to $5.5 million, or $0.39 per share, compared to $4.3 million, or $0.31 per share for the same period in 1995.
