Donnelley Marketing announces new sales and marketing alignment.


OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--December 7, 1995--Donnelley Marketing (DMI (Desktop Management Interface) The first desktop management standard from the DMTF. Enabling PCs to be monitored from a central console, it was superseded by the DMTF's Common Information Model (see CIM). ) today announced a new sales and marketing structure designed to focus DMI's information efforts, and bring DMI's services closer to their customers.

In announcing DMI's plans, Robert K. Sher, president said, "We see this structure as the best way to respond to the changing needs of our clients." Sher continued, "We want to be strategic partners with our clients, offering solutions that fit their particular needs."

To accomplish this goal, DMI is realigning into a number of industry specific market groups. Each group will be charged with research, marketing and sales of its individual industry segment. In announcing specific staff assignments, G. Jack Haney Fonce V. (Jack) Haney (March 10, 1899 - March 26, 1935) was a native of St. Catharines, Ontario. In 1912 he was the driver/mechanic of the Reo Motor Company sedan that travelled 4,176 miles from Halifax, Nova Scotia to Vancouver, British Columbia. , Exec. VP/sales, pointed out that "Personnel were chosen for each group because they had proven track records and significant experience in their industry niches," Haney continued, "They understand the needs of these markets, as well as the DMI product and service solutions that work best for each segment."

Initially, DMI will focus on seven core groups of markets where they have traditional strengths and proficiencies. DMI plans to identify and add additional new markets on an ongoing basis.

 and will report to G. Jack Haney. Under Mike Colucci will be two new industry market managers. They are Sophie Miller, Director Financial and Automotive markets, and Diane March, Director General Business market.

Mary Hennen, Director Catalog market (formerly FDC/Donnelley Marketing) will oversee the Catalog market and Dave McSweeney, Director Donnelley Direct (formerly the List Marketing Group) will oversee the list broker and reseller community. They report to G. Jack Haney.
