Donna Wirtel Named National Advertising Director At San Francisco Newspaper Agency.Business Editors SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 16, 2000 Donna Wirtel, 35, has been named National Advertising Director at the San Francisco Newspaper Agency. The announcement was made by Bartley C. Green, Senior Vice President/Sales and Marketing, who said, "Donna's focus on increasing market share, her negotiating skills, and her expertise in developing strong client partnerships make her the ideal person to help lead our national department into the new millenium." Since March 1999, Wirtel has been Major Accounts Manager at the SFNA. Prior to coming to the SFNA, Wirtel was Retail Advertising Manager for the Sacramento Bee, a position she had held for more than two years. Wirtel began her career as an assistant account executive at DDB DDB - device independent bitmap Needham in Chicago. Upon relocating to California, Wirtel worked for the Contra Costa Newspaper Group, serving in various capacities, culminating as Major Accounts Manager.
