Donna Karan inks 46.000 s/f Seventh Avenue HQ deal.


In an important Garment Center leasing transaction, Donna Karan Donna Karan is the fashion designer and the creator of the DKNY (Donna Karan New York) clothing label. Mark P. Boisi and Nicola M. Heryet of Colliers ABR, Inc. represented the fashion firm in the long-term lease renewal. Alan R. Grossman, of The Georgetown Group, represented the landlord.

"In addition to demonstrating its confidence in 550 Seventh Avenue as an elite fashion building, Donna Karan was also able to take advantage of a today's market conditions to structure a very competitive long-term lease that allows it to restack and consolidate its space," stated Mr. Boisi, Chairman of Colliers ABR.

 Ms. Heryet, the company, which occupies about 200,000 s/f in the fashion district, is retaining all of its showrooms at 550 Seventh Avenue but relocating some of its staff to nearby offices as a result of shedding one of its floors in the building.

In connection with this consolidation, Colliers ABR also represented Donna Karan in the disposition of 12,500 s/f at 218 West 40th Street.
