Dongbu HiTek to Highlight Specialized Semiconductor Process Technologies at GSA Suppliers Expo & Conference in Silicon Valley.

SEOUL, South Korea -- Dongbu HiTek today confirmed it will highlight specialized process technologies developed at its world class semiconductor wafer fabs at the 15th annual GSA (1) (Global mobile Suppliers Association, Sawbridgeworth, U.K., www.gsacom.com) A membership organization of suppliers of GSM products and services. Its goal is to promote GSM as the worldwide mobile communications standard. See GSM Association and GSM.  Suppliers Expo scheduled this coming Thursday, October 2nd, at the Santa Clara Santa Clara, city, Cuba

Convention Center in Silicon Valley (Booth Numbers: 719, 721).

Among the technologies that the Korean company will showcase are high-voltage BCDMOS processes across 0.18- to 0.35-micron nodes (supporting up to 80V) and Analog processes across the same node range (supporting 5V to 27V) as well as best-in-class CMOS Image Sensor A CMOS-based chip that records the intensities of light as variable charges similar to a CCD chip. Although initially used in less expensive digital cameras, the quality of CMOS sensors has improved steadily.

 and RF processes.

Over the past year, Dongbu HiTek demonstrated its commitment to developing and applying specialized semiconductor process technologies. In addition to launching the world's first BCDMOS process at the 0.18-micron node, the company also completed two joint BCDMOS chip developments at the 0.35-micron level, one with ADDtek in Taiwan and another with Silicon Mitus in Korea.

In concert with this year's GSA trade show theme, "Global: Markets, Perspectives, Technology," Dongbu HiTek will also highlight how its best-in-class foundry services, notably die optimization techniques and a robust Intellectual Property portfolio, contribute to enhancing the global supply chain.

About Dongbu HiTek

Headquartered in Seoul, Korea, Dongbu HiTek Co., Ltd. offers advanced products and services across two major business areas: Agriculture and Semiconductor. The Semiconductor Business provides specialized chip foundry services that add high value to display, mobile and various analog applications. The company's two world-class fabs currently process 200mm wafers at nodes ranging from 0.35 microns to 110 nanometers. This wafer processing is supported by comprehensive design support (IP and design libraries), prototype development/verification, and packaging/module development. The Semiconductor Business specializes in developing best-in-class CMOS Image Sensor (CIS Cis (sĭs), same as Kish (1.)
