(1) Standard Goes to Madison
Standard Chartered Bank Moves intoSpace at 1 Madison
Standard Chartered Bank plans to move to 1 Madison Ave. The former
tenant of 7 World Trade Center will occupy space being sublet to it from
Credit Suisse First Boston in the building where it occupies almost
450,000 square feet. The 92,000 square feet that Standard will occupy is
on the 3rd floor of the building. In moving to 1 Madison, Standard joins
former WTC tenant the Port Authority of NY and NJ. The company, which
employs approximately 30,000 and has a 150-year history, boasts a global
presence with offices Quatar, Botswana, the Falklands, Myanmar, the
U.S. and Venezuela. Mike Laginestra, Scott Gottlieb and Phillip Weiss
of Insignia/ESG represented CSFB.
