Donald L. Reppert Joins MicroEdge, Inc. as President and COO.

MicroEdge, Inc., developers of the award-winning Visual SlickEdit(R), announces Donald L. Reppert has joined the company as president and chief operating officer Chief Operating Officer (COO)

The officer of a firm responsible for day-to-day management, usually the president or an executive vice-president.

Reppert brings more than 20 years of experience in application development tools and techniques to MicroEdge. He was previously executive vice president and chief operating officer of Passage Software in Richmond, Va. As president of MicroEdge, Reppert will set the company's strategic direction, oversee operations, and implement business and marketing plans.

At Passage Software, Reppert spearheaded the release and delivery of the UML (Unified Modeling Language) An object-oriented analysis and design language from the Object Management Group (OMG). Many design methodologies for describing object-oriented systems were developed in the late 1980s.  Factory(TM), a model-driven development tool for building complete, deployable Java applications. Prior to Passage Software, he held sales, marketing and management positions with Giga Information Group, IBM (International Business Machines Corporation, Armonk, NY, www.ibm.com) The world's largest computer company. Reppert holds a bachelor's of science in systems analysis from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He was a lieutenant with the U.S. Navy, where he served as a naval aviator for six years before receiving an honorable discharge in 1978.
