Don splashes out of the Street!

Cabbie Don Brennan is set to make one of the most dramatic departures from a soap ever.

And this is is how he goes - plunging into docks in his car with Alma, the wife of his enemy, Mike Baldwin, beside him.

Coronation Street fans will see the drama in an hour-long special next month. But today we give you a sneak preview of the scenes, filmed in strict secrecy.

Banned cabbie Don - who's already burned down Baldwin's business - overhears a call to pick Alma up and jumps in the car.

Actor Geoff Hinsliff, 59, is being written out - but he and Amanda Barrie, who plays Alma, were said by Street insiders to be "absolutely brilliant" in the drama.
