Don H. Davis, Jr. was elected to the board of directors of Journal Communications, Inc. (NYSE NYSE

Davis is chairman and chief executive officer of Rockwell Automation, Inc. (NYSE: ROK), a $4 billion global provider of industrial automation power, control and information solutions. Headquartered in Milwaukee, Rockwell Automation employs about 22,000 people.

Davis has been chairman and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of Rockwell Automation since 1998. He joined Allen-Bradley (which was acquired by Rockwell International in 1985) in 1963 and held a series of key corporate and business unit executive positions culminating with his appointment in 1995 as Rockwell International's president and chief executive officer.

Davis earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a master's of business administration from Texas A&M University.
